Christian Gonzalez-Saul Juarez headlines Friday’s Boxeo EstrellaTV card

A crossroads bout between a once-beaten prospect and a former world title challenger will headline Friday’s ‘Boxeo EstrellaTV’ card.

Christian Gonzalez will sq. off towards Saul Juarez on the Foro Viena in Juarez’s hometown of Mexico Metropolis. The eight-round flyweight bout will headline a three-fight telecast that may air on Estrella TV and Fite.television (10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT).

Gonzalez (12-1, 3 KOs), who resides in close by Tultitlan, Mexico, final fought on March 26, defeating Adrian Curiel by majority determination. The 22-year-old has received his final six bouts, all by determination, since struggling his solely loss as a professional by the hands of Angel Ayala Lardizabal in Might 2019.

His different notable victory happened on October 30, when he defeated the previously-unbeaten Saleto Henderson by cut up determination.

Juarez (25-13-2, 13 KOs) can be a major step up in opposition for Gonzalez, though he’s on the draw back of his profession.

In his final bout on December 12, Juarez was knocked out by the unbeaten Jesse Rodriguez. Since defeating Mario Andrade by technical determination in March 2019, he has misplaced his final 4 bouts.

Junior light-weight Pedro Bernal (6-1-2, 3 KOs) of Mexico Metropolis will sq. off towards Jonathan Escobedo (5-1, 1 KO) of Zapopan, Mexico in an eight-round bout.

Longtime Mexico Metropolis promoter Ricardo Maldonado will promote the cardboard.
