Eder Jofre, the best bantamweight of all time, handed away  – World Boxing Affiliation

Sunday, October 2, introduced the unhappy information of the passing of Eder Jofre, the best legend of Brazilian boxing and a very powerful bantamweight of all time. 

The World Boxing Affiliation (WBA) mourns the departure of Jofre, who handed away in São Paulo on the age of 86 after problems derived from pneumonia with which he had been struggling since March.

Jofre held the Bantamweight title of the pioneer physique from 1960 to 1965, and the belt that every monarch holds in that class is known as after him as a result of influence and significance he had at 118 kilos. 

The Brazilian was World Champion in two classes and in addition participated within the 1956 Olympic Video games in Australia, the place he reached the quarterfinals.
