In a thrilling night of boxing set to captivate fans worldwide, former world champion and Australian sensation Tim Tszyu is poised to face off against the undefeated Denis Nurja. This highly anticipated super welterweight main event will headline the PBC Championship Boxing lineup, streaming live on Prime Video on Saturday, April 4, from the Wollongong Entertainment Centre in Australia.

The action-packed event kicks off at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, promising an evening of intense competition. Alongside the main event, fans will be treated to a super bantamweight showdown between Australia’s Sam Goodman and Argentina’s Rodrigo Ruiz in a 12-round IBF 126-Pound Title Eliminator. Additionally, the rising prospect and 2024 Australian Olympian Callum Peters will step into the ring to challenge fellow unbeaten Delio Mouzinho in a middleweight bout.

Tim Tszyu, a fan favorite in his homeland, is determined to prove he’s ready to reclaim his champion status. The 31-year-old Tszyu, with a record of 26-3 and 18 KOs, has been training under the guidance of Pedro Diaz in Miami. His recent victory over the previously unbeaten Anthony Velazquez in December has set the stage for this crucial matchup. Tszyu’s journey has been marked by memorable contests, including battles against current WBC Super Welterweight World Champion Sebastian Fundora and a successful 2023 campaign that saw him defeat Tony Harrison, Brian Mendoza, and Carlos Ocampo.

Tszyu’s boxing career began after he transitioned from soccer, following in the legendary footsteps of his father, Kostya, an undisputed 140-pound champion. “I feel better than ever, and I’m ready to get back to work,” said Tszyu. “Denis Nurja is undefeated for a reason, and he presents a real challenge. He’s got a big amateur pedigree with eight national titles, and he’s fought at the world championships, so he’s been in there with some serious fighters. That’s the kind of opponent that motivates me and keeps me sharp.”

The event is promoted by No Limit Boxing and The Rose Brothers, in association with TGB Promotions, ensuring a night of top-tier boxing action. Don’t miss out on this exciting lineup, exclusively on Prime Video for all Prime members in the United States and select countries.
