In a thrilling night of boxing that captivated fans worldwide, Anthony ‘The Apache’ Cacace ascended to the pinnacle of the super featherweight division with a masterful performance against Jazza Dickens. The sold-out 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, bore witness to a spectacle of skill, determination, and heart on Saturday, March 14, as Cacace claimed the WBA super featherweight world title in a bout that will be remembered for its tactical brilliance and dramatic shifts in momentum.

From the opening bell, it was clear that Cacace intended to dictate the pace. Utilizing his height advantage and superior reach, he kept Dickens at bay, landing crisp jabs and well-timed body shots. Dickens, however, was not to be underestimated. The Liverpudlian fighter showcased his trademark footwork and busier style, landing eye-catching punches that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

The early rounds were a chess match, with both fighters testing each other’s defenses. Cacace’s right hand to the body was particularly effective, but Dickens’ agility allowed him to counter with precision. A well-timed left hook from Cacace at the end of the third round sent a clear message: he was there to claim the title.

As the fight progressed, Cacace’s strategy became increasingly evident. He controlled the tempo and distance, switching stances and using his long arms to land well-placed shots. A left hook in the fifth round hurt Dickens, who tried to close the distance and tie up his opponent. Cacace, however, created space and continued to land punishing blows.

Dickens enjoyed a strong ninth round, showcasing his resilience and skill. But Cacace navigated the final round with composure, using his height and reach to keep Dickens at bay. The Belfast fighter’s ability to adapt and overcome adversity was a testament to his championship pedigree.

When the final bell rang, the scorecards read 115-113, 116-112, and 116-113, all in favor of Anthony ‘The Apache’ Cacace. The new WBA super featherweight world champion had dethroned Dickens in a performance that will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the finest in his career.

In the co-main event, the undefeated Pierce O’Leary faced off against the experienced Maxi Hughes for the vacant IBO super lightweight world title. O’Leary’s talent and Hughes’ experience promised a thrilling contest, adding to the excitement of a night that will be etched in the memories of boxing fans for years to come.
