In a thrilling turn of events, Anthony Joshua has unveiled his comeback opponent, setting the stage for a highly anticipated heavyweight clash with Tyson Fury. The boxing world was abuzz as Turki Alalshikh confirmed the signing of the Fury fight, but not before Joshua steps into the ring for a warm-up bout on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His opponent? The relatively unknown Albanian fighter, Kristian Prenga.

Joshua, who has been on a hiatus to regroup and rebuild, expressed his excitement about the upcoming fight. “I’ve taken some time to consolidate and rebuild to be ready for stepping back into the ring, and today is the next step on that journey,” he stated. “I’m delighted to have agreed a multi-fight deal starting with July 25th in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The former two-time heavyweight world champion is no stranger to the spotlight, and his return is eagerly awaited by fans worldwide. His last fight was a decisive victory against Jake Paul in Miami in December. However, his celebration was short-lived as he was involved in a tragic car accident just 10 days later, which claimed the lives of two of his friends and left him with minor injuries.

Prenga, with a professional record of 21 fights and only one defeat, is not to be underestimated. The 35-year-old has an impressive 20 knockouts under his belt and is confident that he can derail Joshua’s plans for a Fury bout. “Anthony Joshua is a great fighter, but he made a terrible miscalculation in picking me as his opponent,” Prenga declared. “This is the kind of fight that changes everything in my life and his. I know they have big plans ahead after this fight, but I will shock the world this July in Saudi Arabia.”

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury, fresh off his unanimous decision victory against Arslanbek Makhmudov, has been vocal about his eagerness to face Joshua. Fury’s manager, Spencer Brown, hinted that ‘The Gypsy King’ might have another bout before meeting ‘AJ’. “We’re ready to go,” Brown stated. “Tyson was out of the ring for two years, just jumped back in. We probably want another fight before the AJ fight, a proper warm-up fight, and then we’re all ready to go.”

As the boxing community eagerly awaits these upcoming matches, one thing is certain: the heavyweight division is heating up, and the stage is set for some explosive action. Stay tuned for more updates as these stories develop.
