In an electrifying development for the light heavyweight division, British sensation Anthony Adams and Ghana’s rising star Richard Agyarko have officially agreed to meet in an IBF final eliminator on April 18. The highly anticipated bout, set to take place at the iconic O2 Arena in London, promises to be a thrilling encounter that could reshape the division’s landscape.

Adams, known for his relentless pressure and devastating body shots, has been on an impressive run, with his last outing seeing him dominate and stop the tough Jorge Silva in six rounds. The 25-year-old, hailing from Liverpool, has been vocal about his desire to challenge for world honors and this fight presents a significant step towards that goal.

Standing in his way is Agyarko, a technical boxer with a granite chin and an impressive record of 24-0, with 14 knockouts. The Ghanaian has been making waves in the light heavyweight division, with his most recent victory coming against the durable and highly respected Vladimir Kuznetsov. Agyarko’s ability to mix precision with power makes him a formidable opponent for Adams.

The winner of this bout will earn the right to face the IBF champion, Arturs Kulibabovs, and potentially become the mandatory challenger. Both Adams and Agyarko are aware of the stakes and have been quoted saying they are prepared to leave everything in the ring to secure victory.

With the light heavyweight division currently in a state of flux, this fight could be a statement maker for the winner. Both fighters have expressed their excitement for the challenge ahead and fans can expect a war on April 18. The O2 Arena is sure to be a cauldron of noise as British and Ghanaian supporters rally behind their respective fighters.

In the co-main event, fans can look forward to a tantalizing clash between local favorite John Doggart and the experienced American, Marcus Bunch. Doggart, known for his explosive power, will be looking to make a statement on home soil, while Bunch, a seasoned campaigner, will be aiming to spoil the party.

April 18 is shaping up to be a night of high-octane action and boxing fans are in for a treat. With two world title eliminators on the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Stay tuned for more updates as the fight week approaches.
