Ajagba vs. Martin: A Clash of Titans at Meta Apex

Las Vegas, NV (February 12th, 2026) — The stage is set for an electrifying evening of professional boxing as Zuffa Boxing presents an eight-bout card at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The main event features a 10-round heavyweight showdown between the rising star Efe Ajagba and the seasoned former International Boxing Federation World Heavyweight champion Charles Martin.

Efe Ajagba, hailing from Stafford, Texas, by way of Nigeria, brings an impressive record of 20-1-1 with 14 knockouts. Standing tall at 6’6″ with an 85-inch reach, the 31-year-old is currently ranked as the number 11 heavyweight in the world. Ajagba’s youth, height, and reach advantage make him a formidable opponent for the 39-year-old Martin.

Charles Martin, a southpaw from Arizona, stands at 6’5″ with an 80-inch reach and a record of 30-4-1 with 27 knockouts. Martin held the IBF heavyweight title for 85 days in 2016 before losing it to Anthony Joshua. Despite his experience and power, Martin faces an uphill battle against the younger, technically superior Ajagba.

Ajagba is the clear favorite, with odds heavily in his favor. A $600 bet on Ajagba returns $100, while a $100 bet on Martin returns $550. The odds of a draw are slim at 20/1. Ajagba’s superior technical skills and recent form make him the likely victor, with many predicting a knockout or stoppage.

Martin, however, is not to be underestimated. With 27 of his 30 victories coming by knockout, he possesses significant power. Yet, his lack of recent activity and losses to top contenders like Luis Ortiz and Jared Anderson raise questions about his ability to compete at the highest level.

Ajagba’s straight right hand, reminiscent of Anthony Joshua’s knockout punch against Martin, is expected to be a key weapon. Ajagba’s consistency in landing jabs and overhand rights could prove decisive in this bout.

For Martin, this fight represents a final payday and a chance to prove he still has what it takes to compete with the best. Despite his experience and power, Martin’s technical limitations and recent inactivity make him the underdog in this contest.

Zuffa Boxing’s collaboration with Paramount + marks a new era in boxing, bringing high-profile bouts to a wider audience. While this heavyweight clash may not be the most competitive, it promises excitement and the potential for a spectacular knockout.

As the fighters prepare to step into the ring, all eyes will be on Efe Ajagba, who aims to solidify his position as a top heavyweight contender. For Charles Martin, it’s a chance to relive past glories and remind the world of his power and charisma.
