OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer was assaulted and robbed Monday in Oakland, California, her son stated.
The assault occurred within the Jack London Sq. neighborhood, in line with a tweet on Boxer’s verified Twitter account.
“The assailant pushed her within the again, stole her mobile phone and jumped in a ready automotive,” the tweet stated. “She is grateful that she was not severely injured.”
