In a surprising turn of events, Conor Benn’s recent transition to Zuffa Boxing has sent shockwaves through the boxing community. The British fighter secured a lucrative $15 million one-fight deal, backed by Turki Alalshikh. The announcement of Benn’s upcoming bout against Regis Prograis at a 150-pound catchweight on the undercard of the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov fight on April 11 has further fueled the excitement.

Prograis, known for his calm demeanor, recently shared his thoughts with Fight Hub TV, expressing his unwavering confidence as he prepares to face Benn, nicknamed the ‘Destroyer.’ The American fighter seems unfazed by the challenge ahead.

Benn, on the other hand, could barely contain his enthusiasm about returning to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the venue of his memorable battles with Chris Eubank Jr. ‘April 11 can’t come soon enough,’ Benn stated, ‘Returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium again, where I made history against Eubank Jr, means everything to me. My last fight there showed the world exactly who I am and what I’m about. Fighting on the biggest stages, in the biggest shows, I fear no one. I’m fully locked in and ready to deliver another statement performance.’

While Benn’s recent performances have been impressive, Prograis’ track record has been less consistent. His last few fights, including a lackluster split-decision win against Danielito Zorrilla, have left some questioning his form. However, Prograis remains undeterred.

‘I know I can beat Conor Benn,’ Prograis asserted, ‘That’s why when they told me about the weight, I don’t care. We won’t need a weight stipulation. I don’t care. You can weigh in what you want. We can do it at 150, and then after that, you can blow up to whatever you want. And don’t be surprised if I’m stronger. They’re gonna be like, ‘Damn, how you get so strong?’ You gonna see, because I’m at my natural weight, and I spar all these big guys and stuff, and they don’t do nothing. The punches don’t even hurt me. He can have the pressure. I’m cool. I’m all good with it. I signed to fight ’cause I know I can win the fight. It’s a very winnable fight for me,’ Prograis concluded.

As the fight night approaches, the anticipation continues to build. Both fighters bring a unique blend of skills and determination to the ring, promising an electrifying showdown. The boxing world eagerly awaits the outcome of this high-stakes clash between Conor Benn and Regis Prograis.
