Stephanie Han has further cemented her position as a force to be reckoned with in the lightweight division, following her recent victory over the highly acclaimed Holly Holm. The bout, which took place on a Friday night at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, was initially expected to be a closely contested showdown, but Han’s superior speed and technique ultimately gave her the edge she needed to succeed.

Han, known for her aggressive fighting style, took the initiative early in the fight, utilizing her sharp right hands and combinations to outbox Holm. Despite showing flashes of her old self, Holm struggled to consistently land solid shots, with Han beating her to the punch on multiple occasions. This allowed Han to assert her dominance and dictate the pace of the fight, showcasing her exceptional skills as a boxer.

The contest was eventually stopped after seven rounds due to an accidental headbutt from Holm, which resulted in a cut that rendered Han unable to continue fighting. However, by that point, Han had already done enough to impress the judges, who scored the fight unanimously in her favor, with scorecards of 68-65, 69-65, and 69-64. This technical decision victory enabled Han to secure a significant win in the lightweight division, further solidifying her position as a top contender.

For Holm, who was competing in only her second professional boxing match in over a decade, the fight served as a testament to her enduring legacy and unwavering dedication to the sport. Although she was ultimately unsuccessful in her bid to defeat Han, Holm demonstrated that she still possesses the talent and drive necessary to compete at the highest level, even at the age of 44.

Meanwhile, the victory marked a major milestone for Han, who has now successfully defended her WBA lightweight title. The win is a significant achievement for Han, who continues to make a name for herself in the boxing world. Her impressive performance against Holm has not only earned her recognition but also reinforced her status as a dominant force in the lightweight division.

As the boxing world continues to evolve, one thing is certain – Stephanie Han is a fighter to watch. With her exceptional skills, unwavering determination, and unrelenting passion for the sport, Han is poised to make a lasting impact on the world of boxing. Her recent victory over Holly Holm is a testament to her abilities, and fans can expect to see great things from this talented athlete in the future.
