4 fighters from Lakes Space Boxing of Detroit Lakes competed on the Silver Gloves boxing state championships at Bemidji highschool July 24-25.
Three of these fighters got here away champions of their respective divisions.
Glen Sommers gained the 125-pound state championship within the 13-14-year-old division by defeating Josh Stevens from Minneapolis.
Dalton Bymers (85-pound, 13-14-year-old division) and Kyla Schatz (125-pound, feminine 15-16-year-old division) each gained by means of a walkover as there have been no fighters of their weight class.
Each did compete in match bouts. Bymers gained by means of resolution towards Gabriel Luna from Leech Lake and Schatz picked up a choice victory over Bemidji’s Jada Anderson in what was awarded the struggle of the night time.
LAB’s Quintin Hedlund (75-pound, 9-10-year-old division) misplaced a detailed resolution to Phoenix Swor from the Nordic Warriors boxing gymnasium in Alexandria.
Swor made his boxing debut on the event and gained each of his matches.
Subsequent up is the Area 4 Silver Gloves event on the Meshakwad Group Middle in Hinckley, Minnesota, that includes boxers from Minnesota, North and South Dakota and Wisconsin August 7-8.
The champions from Area 4 will advance to the Nationwide event in Kansas Metropolis, Missouri.
