    The Junior Boxing Championships have once again captivated audiences with a series of intense quarter-final and semi-final bouts. The young pugilists displayed remarkable skill, determination, and heart, making this year’s tournament one to remember.

    Boy/Girl 3 Quarter-Final Results

    The quarter-finals in the Boy/Girl 3 category set the stage for some electrifying matches. Kaspar Wrona from Celtic Eagles secured a walkover, advancing effortlessly to the next round. Cahir McMaster of St Johns U delivered a narrow victory against Jake O’Connell from Brian Dillons with a 3-2 split decision.

    Alan McTigue representing Knockmore/Foxford dominated John Joe Joyce from Punishers with a unanimous 4-0 decision. Blake Fegan of Jobstown showcased his prowess with a flawless 5-0 victory over Ollie Slevin from Sean Dorans. Cassius McDonald from St Marys D triumphed over Paddy McDonagh of Olympic C with a 4-1 decision.

    Isabelle Nolan from Ballinacarrow secured a victory against Niamh McNamara from Tipperary Town via an abandonment in the second round (AB2). Martin McDonagh of St Francis and Edward Ward from Olympic C both achieved convincing 5-0 wins against their respective opponents, Archie Harrington and Edward Corcoran.

    Rian Brannigan from Swords and Joe Joyce of Punishers both advanced with decisive victories. Rosaletta Casey from Portlaoise and Amy Joyce from Olympic L both secured 5-0 wins, demonstrating their dominance in the ring.

    Boy/Girl 2 Semi-Final Results

    The semi-finals in the Boy/Girl 2 category were equally thrilling. John McDonagh from Spartan edged out John McInerney of St Michaels Athy with a 3-2 split decision. Scott Watson from Banbridge delivered a commanding 5-0 victory over Mickey Wall of Monkstown D.

    Marcus Webb from Monkstown D and Michael Nevin of Elite both secured their places in the finals with impressive performances. Patrick L Donovan from Olympic C and David Mahony of Crumlin both advanced with resounding 5-0 victories.

    Jimmy O’Reilly from Fr Horgans and Frankie Donoghue of Kilmyshall both triumphed in closely contested bouts. Adam Flanagan from Pegasus continued his winning streak with a decisive victory over Charlie O’Brien from Trojan.

    The championships have not only showcased the talent of these young boxers but also their resilience and sportsmanship. As the tournament progresses, the anticipation for the final rounds grows, promising even more exhilarating matches.
