In a highly anticipated junior middleweight title unification bout, WBO champion Xander Zayas is set to face WBA titleholder Abass Baraou on Saturday, January 31, at the iconic Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. The thrilling event will be streamed live and free of charge on the Top Rank Classics FAST channel across the United States, with the broadcast kicking off at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT.

The main event is scheduled to commence at approximately 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, following an exciting welterweight co-feature between the undefeated Dominican sensation Rohan ‘El Rayo’ Polanco (17-0, 10 KOs) and the seasoned Mexican warrior Christian Gomez (23-6-1, 21 KOs) at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Zayas (22-0, 13 KOs), hailing from San Juan, aims to etch his name in the annals of Puerto Rican boxing history by becoming the first fighter from the island to unify world titles on home soil. The 23-year-old phenom has been a force to reckon with in the junior middleweight division, and a victory against Baraou would undoubtedly elevate his status to new heights.

Baraou (17-1, 9 KOs), a German pressure fighter, will be making the first defense of his world title. With an impressive eight-fight winning streak under his belt, Baraou has proven his mettle against top-tier opponents. His last five bouts have taken place on foreign soil, including a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Cuban star Yoenis Tellez in Orlando, Florida, last August.

The Top Rank Classics stream promises an action-packed evening of boxing, featuring several other exciting matchups. Juanmita Lopez De Jesus (4-0, 2 KOs) will square off against Conner Goade (8-4-2, 7 KOs) in a six-round junior bantamweight contest, while Carlos De Leon Castro (6-0, 5 KOs) will face Diuhl Olguin (17-47-7, 10 KOs) in a six-round junior lightweight bout.

Additionally, Yadriel Caban (2-0, 2 KOs) will take on Jeremis Hernandez-Torres (2-2, 0 KOs) in a four-round flyweight clash, and Euri Cedeno (13-0-1, 12 KOs) will battle Etoundi Michel William (16-2, 12 KOs) in a ten-round middleweight showdown. The evening will also feature a ten-round junior middleweight bout between Giovani Santillan (34-1, 18 KOs) and Courtney Pennington (17-11-3, 7 KOs).

Boxing enthusiasts can tune in to the Top Rank Classics FAST channel on various platforms, including The Roku Channel, Tubi, or Vizio, to witness this historic night of pugilistic action. Don’t miss out on what promises to be an unforgettable evening of championship boxing.
