Las Vegas, NV (January 19, 2026) — The highly anticipated inaugural event of Zuffa Boxing, dubbed Zuffa Boxing 01, is set to take place this Friday, January 23, 2026, at the state-of-the-art Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will showcase an electrifying eight-bout card, broadcast live on Paramount+ beginning at 9 pm ET. The main card, featuring three thrilling matchups, will kick off at the same time.

The main event will see undefeated middleweight sensation Callum Walsh put his perfect record on the line against the seasoned Mexican fighter Carlos Ocampo in a 10-round bout. The undercard will also feature a compelling 10-round welterweight clash between New Jersey’s Julian Rodriguez (24-1, 15 KOs) and Sacramento’s Cain Sandoval (17-0, 15 KOs).

“Zuffa Boxing 01 is packed with the brightest up-and-coming talent, all eager to prove they are the future world champions,” said Dana White, President and CEO of UFC. “The top three fights feature four undefeated fighters, including Callum Walsh, who boasts a 15-0 record. His opponent, Carlos Ocampo, brings a wealth of experience with 38 wins and a knockout streak in his last three fights. I’m thrilled to bring exceptional fighters and incredible matchups back to the fans.”

Zuffa Boxing is a collaborative venture between TKO Group Holdings, Inc. and the entertainment powerhouse Sela. The main card will feature the following bouts:

    • Callum Walsh (15-0) vs. Carlos Ocampo (38-3) – Main Event
    • Misael Rodriguez (15-0) vs. Austin DeAnda (17-0)
    • Julian Rodriguez (24-1) vs. Cain Sandoval (17-0)

    The preliminary card will include:

    • Omar Trinidad (19-0-2) vs. Max Ornelas (17-2-1)
    • Floyd Diaz (13-0) vs. Guillermo Gutierrez (13-2)
    • Emiliano Cardenas (9-0) vs. Marcus Harris (7-1)
    • Robert Meriwether III (9-0) vs. Cesar Correa (5-0)
    • Troy Nash (5-0-1) vs. Jaycob Ramos (4-0)

In other exciting news, Australian cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia has officially signed a major promotional deal with Zuffa Boxing. This signing, announced on January 16, 2026, marks Zuffa Boxing’s most significant acquisition to date. Opetaia, who holds the IBF and The Ring cruiserweight titles, brings instant credibility to the new promotion.

At 30 years old, Jai Opetaia (29-0, 23 KOs) is widely regarded as one of the top cruiserweights in the world. He expressed his enthusiasm for the future, stating his goal of “unification and becoming undisputed soon.” There is already speculation about a potential super fight between Opetaia and David Benavidez in the future.

Opetaia was previously associated with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Promotions. The signing of Opetaia underscores Zuffa Boxing’s commitment to bringing top-tier talent to the ring and delivering unforgettable fights to fans worldwide.
