In the wake of a spectacular weekend in the boxing world, Frank Warren has shared his insights on a potential welterweight showdown between Shakur Stevenson and Conor Benn. Stevenson’s masterful performance against Teofimo Lopez secured him the WBO super-lightweight world title, making him the third-youngest four-division world champion in boxing history. However, the focus has swiftly shifted to what could be an electrifying matchup at 147 pounds.

Stevenson’s victory over Lopez was a display of boxing prowess, as he outclassed his opponent with superior footwork and precision. Lopez, unable to keep up with Stevenson’s lightning-fast speed, often found himself lunging forward, leaving himself vulnerable to swift and powerful counterattacks. This dominant performance has set the stage for Stevenson’s next challenge, and all eyes are now on Conor Benn.

Benn, who has not stepped into the ring since his victory over Chris Eubank Jr. in November of last year, has expressed his eagerness to face Stevenson. The British fighter, known for his aggressive style and knockout power, has been vocal about his desire to move back down to welterweight and challenge for the WBC title. A bout against Stevenson could be the perfect opportunity for Benn to prove his mettle against one of the best in the sport.

During his post-fight interview, Stevenson did not mince words, calling out Benn and even referring to him as “food” in a message directed at Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn. This bold statement has only fueled the anticipation for a potential clash between the two fighters. Benn, who was ringside at Madison Square Garden to witness Stevenson’s victory, welcomed the challenge, setting the stage for a thrilling encounter.

Frank Warren, a seasoned promoter with a keen eye for matchups, has weighed in on the potential fight. Warren’s verdict is clear: Stevenson is not like any opponent Benn has faced before. The American’s unique blend of speed, skill, and ring IQ presents a formidable challenge for Benn, who will need to bring his best to the table if he hopes to emerge victorious.

As the boxing world eagerly awaits official announcements, the potential showdown between Shakur Stevenson and Conor Benn promises to be a clash of titans. With both fighters at the peak of their careers and hungry for success, this bout could very well be the fight of the year. Stay tuned for more updates as the story develops.
