In a stunning turn of events, Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al Nassr are setting their sights on two of the Premier League’s brightest stars, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, as potential replacements for the disgruntled Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese superstar’s future at the club has been cast into doubt following his recent absence from the team’s matches.

Ronaldo’s unhappiness stems from what he perceives as a lack of support from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) during the winter transfer window. The 38-year-old is reportedly frustrated that Al Nassr have not secured significant reinforcements in their title push, especially with rivals Al Hilal rumored to be close to signing former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Al Nassr’s recent 1-0 victory over Al Riyadh temporarily drew them level with Al Hilal at the top of the Saudi Pro League table. However, Al Hilal could reclaim their lead with a draw or win in their upcoming fixture. Ronaldo’s absence has been a talking point, with multiple reports suggesting his displeasure with the team’s lack of transfer activity.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are preparing a substantial bid for Manchester City’s midfield maestro Rodri. The Spanish giants are eyeing a summer move for the 27-year-old as the Premier League champions prepare for a potential post-Pep Guardiola era.

Back in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo’s future remains uncertain. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is considering his options due to concerns over the financial backing Al Nassr are receiving compared to other clubs owned by the PIF, such as Al Hilal, Al Ahli, and Al Ittihad. Ronaldo is eager to secure his first Saudi Pro League title and believes the club should be more ambitious in their pursuit of success.

As the transfer rumors continue to swirl, one thing is clear: the Saudi Pro League is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for some of the world’s top footballing talent. With Al Nassr eyeing high-profile signings like Salah and Fernandes, the league’s profile is set to rise even further in the coming months.
