In a surprising turn of events, Chris Eubank Jr., following a less than stellar performance in his recent rematch, has decided to press on with his boxing career. An unexpected offer has come his way from a former world champion, who, despite a four-year absence from the ring, claims to be the optimal choice for Eubank’s next bout. The former champion and Eubank share a history, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this potential matchup.

Eubank Jr., now 36, made headlines last April when he handed Conor Benn his first career defeat. However, their subsequent rematch did not go as planned for Eubank. Despite this setback, Eubank Jr. remains a prominent figure in the boxing world, and a return to the super-middleweight division could see him vying for a world title once again.

Eubank Jr.’s most recent fights were at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he faced Conor Benn twice at middleweight, with a fight-day rehydration clause in place. Speculation about a potential trilogy fight between the two has been a topic of discussion, but Eubank Jr. has other options on the table as well. Notably, he could find himself in the mix for a shot at the WBC title, with potential bouts against Mbilli or Alvarez on the horizon.

Meanwhile, former undisputed super middleweight world champion Terence Crawford has ruled out a return to professional boxing. Crawford, who last fought Saul Alvarez in September 2025, cited the intensity of training camps as a significant strain on his body, more so than the fights themselves. This revelation has left fans wondering about the future of other boxing veterans considering a comeback.

In other news, Tyson Fury, the former two-time heavyweight world champion, is set to make his comeback. Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, has revealed that Fury is motivated by a desire to be the best and has his sights set on a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. Fury’s return to the ring is confirmed, with a fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov scheduled for April.

As the boxing world continues to evolve, these developments promise to keep fans on the edge of their seats. With potential title shots, unexpected comebacks, and the ever-present possibility of historic trilogies, the sport remains as thrilling and unpredictable as ever.
