In a bold declaration that has sent shockwaves through the heavyweight division, Arslanbek Makhmudov has vowed to bring an end to Tyson Fury’s illustrious career once and for all. The undefeated Russian-Canadian heavyweight is set to face ‘The Gypsy King’ in a highly anticipated comeback fight on April 11, with the venue yet to be confirmed.

Fury, who has teased retirement multiple times throughout his career, is aiming to become a three-time heavyweight world champion. However, Makhmudov and his promoter, Camille Estephan, have made it clear that their objective is to send the British heavyweight into a permanent retirement. Estephan stated, “This time it will be for real. Arslanbek is focused and determined to put an end to Fury’s career.”

At 37, Fury’s most recent retirement seemed to signal the end of an era, but the charismatic heavyweight has once again decided to lace up his gloves. Despite his age, Fury remains bullish and confident as he steps up his preparations in training camp. His promoter, Frank Warren, has revealed that Fury’s motivation for returning to the ring is to cement his legacy as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Warren stated, “Tyson’s a fighting man. He wants to be the best and prove he can still compete at the highest level.”

Makhmudov, on the other hand, admits he has ‘flaws’ in his game but insists he has the belief and determination to pull off a major upset against Fury. The 34-year-old heavyweight has an impressive record of 18 wins, with 17 coming by way of knockout. He sees this fight as an opportunity to make a name for himself in the heavyweight division and believes that a victory over Fury will catapult him into the upper echelons of the sport.

The winner of this heavyweight showdown is set to receive a high world ranking, making the stakes even higher for both fighters. While Fury has his sights set on a potential rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, Makhmudov is solely focused on the task at hand and the chance to make a statement in the heavyweight division.

As the boxing world eagerly awaits this clash of titans, one thing is certain: the heavyweight division is in for a thrilling ride. With both fighters possessing immense power and unwavering determination, the stage is set for an unforgettable night of boxing.
