In a highly anticipated rematch, Claressa Shields is poised to defend her undisputed heavyweight titles against Franchon Crews-Dezurn this Sunday at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The bout, which promises to be a thrilling encounter, will be broadcast live on DAZN. Shields, often hailed as the ‘GWOAT’ (Greatest Woman of All Time), first faced Crews-Dezurn in their professional debuts back in 2016. Nearly a decade later, the two warriors will meet again, this time in the heavyweight division, three weight classes above their initial clash.

At 30 years old, Shields is a formidable five-weight world champion, and she is expected to secure a routine victory in this second defense of her heavyweight titles. The odds are heavily in her favor, with bookmakers pricing her at 1/12 for a win. Crews-Dezurn, aged 38, is the reigning unified super middleweight champion and is considered a significant underdog at 35/4 to pull off a shocking upset.

Shields has demonstrated her prowess in the ring with three of her 17 fights ending inside the distance. She is favored to win on points at 2/9. However, if Crews-Dezurn is to emerge victorious, it is most likely to be by decision, with odds set at 14/1. Shields is also priced at 4/1 to secure a stoppage win, while Crews-Dezurn, known as ‘The Heavy Hitting Diva,’ is valued at 28/1 to add to her two professional knockouts.

The betting odds reflect the high expectations for Shields. She is overwhelmingly favored to win the fight at 1/20, with a decision or technical decision victory priced at 2/9. A stoppage win for Shields is set at 4/1. On the other hand, Crews-Dezurn’s odds to win by decision or technical decision are 14/1, and a stoppage win for her is a long shot at 28/1. The odds for a draw or technical draw are set at 20/1.

For those interested in round betting, Shields’ odds to win in each round range from 50/1 in the first round to 28/1 in the tenth round. Crews-Dezurn’s odds to win in any specific round are significantly higher, all set at 100/1.

This rematch promises to be a captivating event, with Shields aiming to solidify her legacy and Crews-Dezurn seeking to defy the odds and claim a historic victory. Boxing fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting this heavyweight showdown in Detroit.
