In the wake of his recent setback, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, the Mexican boxing sensation, is poised to make a triumphant return to the ring for his 69th professional fight. After experiencing only the third loss of his illustrious career last year, Canelo is eager to demonstrate his resilience and skill once again.

The defeat, which saw him relinquish his undisputed super-middleweight world championship to Terence Crawford, marked his first loss at 168lbs and his third overall, following previous losses to Floyd Mayweather in 2013. Despite this setback, Canelo’s determination remains unshaken as he prepares to face his next challenger.

Meanwhile, in the realm of women’s boxing, world welterweight champion Lauren Price has set her sights on some of the biggest names in the sport. Price has revealed that she has been offered fights against Claressa Shields and Katie Taylor, two of the most prominent figures in women’s boxing, for later this year. Expressing her ambition, Price stated, “I want to put on a performance in this next fight and then get out again in the summer whether it be against Mayer, Katie Taylor, Claressa Shields, or Alycia Baumgardner.”

Price, who has not stepped into the ring since her points victory over Natasha Jonas just over a year ago, is looking forward to fighting in front of a home crowd on April 4. Her upcoming bout against Stephanie Piñeiro at the Cardiff International Arena promises to be a thrilling encounter.

In other boxing news, Francis Ngannou has called out Jake Paul for a potential fight, adding to the excitement and anticipation in the boxing world. The exchange between Ngannou and Paul at the Rousey vs Carano press conference has sparked interest among fans and pundits alike.

As the boxing schedule continues to fill up with intriguing matchups, including Alycia Baumgardner against Bo Mi Re Shin and a rematch between Stephanie Han and Holly Holm, the sport is set to deliver a series of captivating events. With champions like Canelo Alvarez and Lauren Price preparing for their next challenges, the world of boxing is brimming with anticipation and promise.
