Allentown, PA is set to be the epicenter of the boxing world on Friday, April 3rd, as Red Owl Boxing brings Box Fest XVII to The Archer Music Hall. The event, which will be streamed live on DAZN, promises a thrilling night of action-packed bouts, with the main event featuring an undefeated lightweight sensation and a seasoned veteran.

The main event will see Antonio Perez, the pride of Harrisburg, PA, putting his unblemished record on the line against the experienced Abraham Montoya. Perez, with a record of 11-0 and five knockouts, has been making waves in the lightweight division. His impressive five-year professional career includes victories over notable opponents such as Nigel Fennell, Haskell Rhodes, Antonio Williams, and most recently, Alex Martin. Perez’s technical prowess and relentless determination have earned him a shot at the WBC USA Silver Lightweight Title.

Standing in his way is Abraham Montoya, a 31-year-old warrior from Mexicali, Mexico. With a record of 23-7-1 and 14 knockouts, Montoya brings a wealth of experience to the ring. Over his 12-year career, he has faced and defeated several top-tier fighters, including future world champion Luis Alberto Lopez and former interim world champion Joseph Diaz. Despite his recent setback against Tsendbatar Erdenbat, Montoya remains a formidable opponent and is determined to play spoiler to Perez’s undefeated record.

The co-feature of the evening will showcase Emanuel Moreno, the current WBA Continental American champion and WBA number-13 ranked bantamweight, taking on Francisco Pedroza Portillo. Moreno, hailing from Wichita Falls, TX, boasts an impressive record of 12-0 with three knockouts. His opponent, Pedroza Portillo from Tijuana, Mexico, brings a record of 20-13-2 with 11 knockouts, promising a competitive and exciting bout.

The undercard is stacked with talented fighters looking to make their mark. Cornelio Phipps will face Frank Gonzalez in a super bantamweight contest, while Dennis Thompson will take on an opponent to be announced. The night will also feature the professional debut of 2023 National Golden Gloves champion Adrian Salazar, who will face Cory Grant in a welterweight bout.

Other notable fights include a battle of debuting featherweights between Eric Martinez and Chris Karagiannis, and a bantamweight clash between Ivy Enriquez and Chasity Roberts. The evening will also see Gustavo Morales, Jaclyne Mctamney, Brooke Mullen, and Cahir Gormely in action, each looking to impress and advance their careers.

Tickets for this highly anticipated event are now on sale, with prices ranging from $93 to $294. Fans can catch all the action live on the DAZN app, available for download on mobile, Smart TV, or tablet devices. Don’t miss out on what promises to be an unforgettable night of boxing.
