In a recent revelation, Dave Allen has expressed his belief that Agit Kabayel could be the boxer to dethrone Oleksandr Usyk. Kabayel’s impressive streak has caught Allen’s attention, leading him to advocate for Kabayel’s shot at the Ukrainian champion. The German heavyweight’s last bout was a spectacular homecoming event in Oberhausen, Germany, where he delivered a third-round stoppage to Damian Knyba, despite a challenging first round.
Allen, speaking on his YouTube channel, shared his insights on why Kabayel could pose a significant threat to Usyk. “Usyk is undoubtedly an all-time great, but he’s not invincible, particularly in the mid-range game,” Allen stated. “Kabayel’s style could be the key to unlocking Usyk’s defenses. He’s fresh, determined, and has the unique ability to get into the range needed to make a difference.”
Kabayel himself has been vocal about his ambitions. After his knockout victory, he demanded a title shot with Usyk, declaring, “I’ve waited long enough for this opportunity. I’ve proven myself by defeating three formidable opponents during the Riyadh Season. I’m ready for the world title fight.”
