Eddie Hearn Forecasts Swift Victory for Anthony Joshua Against Deontay Wilder

In a bold prediction that has sent ripples through the boxing world, Eddie Hearn, the renowned promoter, has forecasted an early knockout victory for Anthony Joshua should he face Deontay Wilder. This declaration comes hot on the heels of Wilder’s recent split-decision triumph over Derek Chisora at the iconic O2 Arena.

Joshua, who has been honing his skills in Spain alongside former rival Oleksandr Usyk, has been making headlines himself. His impressive knockout of Jake Paul in December showcased his formidable power, but his journey has not been without challenges. A tragic car accident in Nigeria left Joshua with minor injuries and, more devastatingly, claimed the lives of two close friends. Despite this setback, Joshua’s resilience and determination remain unshaken.

Hearn, known for his strategic acumen, has set his sights on a July return for Joshua. He has expressed his willingness to orchestrate a long-awaited showdown between Joshua and Wilder, confident that Joshua would emerge victorious within three rounds. “We need a warm-up fight before we face Tyson Fury,” Hearn stated, emphasizing the importance of a strategic build-up. “Anthony Joshua is rehabilitating his body, and a fight against Deontay Wilder would be the perfect precursor to a December clash with Tyson Fury.”

Hearn’s respect for Wilder is evident, acknowledging his improved performance against Chisora. However, his confidence in Joshua’s abilities is unwavering. “Anthony Joshua will walk through Deontay Wilder within three rounds,” Hearn asserted, sending a clear message to the boxing community.

The potential Joshua-Wilder bout has been a topic of speculation since both fighters held world heavyweight titles in 2018. The anticipation for this clash has only intensified with time, and Hearn’s recent statements have added fuel to the fire. Joshua is expected to be ringside at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Fury’s upcoming fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov, further stoking the flames of excitement.

Fury, who is making his comeback after a brief retirement, has also expressed his eagerness to face Joshua. “I’d like to fight him next for sure,” Fury stated, indicating his readiness to deliver the long-desired British battle should he overcome Makhmudov. The stage is set for a thrilling chapter in the heavyweight division, with fans eagerly awaiting the unfolding drama.

As the boxing world watches with bated breath, one thing is certain: the potential showdowns between these titans of the ring promise to be nothing short of spectacular. With Hearn’s strategic planning, Joshua’s unwavering determination, and the looming presence of Fury, the heavyweight division is poised for an electrifying year ahead.
