In the wake of being conspicuously absent from Oleksandr Usyk’s retirement roadmap, Agit Kabayel, the WBC interim heavyweight champion, has thrown down the gauntlet to the heavyweight division’s elite. Kabayel’s frustration is palpable, fueled by old grudges and fights that never materialized. He is now targeting the biggest names in the business: Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Martin Bakole.

Kabayel’s exclusion from Usyk’s plans has clearly struck a nerve. The German heavyweight is not one to shy away from a challenge, and his recent call-outs are a testament to his ambition and determination. Kabayel’s sights are set on proving his mettle against the best, and he is eager to secure his legacy in the heavyweight division.

Meanwhile, the heavyweight scene is buzzing with activity and bold predictions. Lawrence Okolie, a former two-division champion, has made waves with his own set of predictions. Okolie believes that Usyk will be stripped of the WBC title later this year, paving the way for a potential showdown between himself and Kabayel for the full world championship. However, Okolie’s first hurdle is a bout against Tony Yoka in Paris this April.

Okolie’s ambitions don’t stop there. He has tipped Daniel Dubois to emerge victorious in his upcoming WBO title clash against Fabio Wardley in May. Looking further ahead, Okolie envisions a future bout with his former gym mate, Dubois, in a heavyweight world title unification. This potential clash has added an extra layer of intrigue to the heavyweight landscape.

The heavyweight division is no stranger to bold claims and ambitious predictions. Moses Itauma, winner of the British Boxing Board of Control’s Young Fighter of the Year award, has declared himself one of the best heavyweights in the world. Such proclamations only serve to heighten the anticipation and excitement surrounding the division.

As the heavyweight scene continues to evolve, one thing is certain: the road ahead is filled with potential blockbuster matchups and unforgettable moments. Kabayel’s call-outs, Okolie’s predictions, and the bold claims of rising stars like Itauma all contribute to a narrative that promises to keep boxing fans on the edge of their seats.

In this high-stakes environment, every fight and every prediction carries significant weight. The heavyweight division is a cauldron of ambition, skill, and determination, and the coming months are sure to deliver drama and excitement in equal measure.
