This weekend, the heavyweight division is set to witness a monumental clash as two of its most formidable figures, Derek ‘Del Boy’ Chisora and Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder, step into the ring at the iconic O2 Arena in London. This bout marks a significant milestone in both fighters’ careers, as it will be their 50th professional fight.

Chisora, a seasoned veteran with a career spanning nearly two decades, has announced that this fight will be his last, regardless of the outcome. His journey has seen him face some of the greatest names in boxing, including Oleksandr Usyk, Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, and a thrilling trilogy with Tyson Fury. Chisora’s resilience and determination have made him a fan favorite, and he is determined to end his career on a high note.

On the other hand, Wilder views this fight as the beginning of a resurgence. Once a dominant force in the heavyweight division, Wilder defended his WBC title ten times from 2015 to 2020, with most of his victories coming by way of knockout. However, his career hit a rough patch following his trilogy with Fury, suffering losses to Joseph Parker and a brutal stoppage by Zhilei Zhang. Despite these setbacks, Wilder remains confident that he is back to his best and ready to make another run at the top.

Chisora’s last fight was a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Otto Wallin, while Wilder returned to the win column with a seventh-round stoppage of Tyrrell Herndon. Both fighters are coming into this bout with something to prove, making it a must-watch event for boxing enthusiasts.

The fight night is scheduled for April 4 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England. The broadcast will kick off at 7pm BST, with the main event expected to start around 10:25pm BST. Fans worldwide can catch the action on DAZN PPV, with DAZN also offering an Ultimate package that includes every pay-per-view as part of a subscription.

The undercard features several exciting matchups, including Viddal Riley vs. Mateusz Masternak for the EBU European cruiserweight title and Denzel Bentley vs. Endry Saavedra for the WBO Interim middleweight title. These bouts promise to add to the excitement of an already stacked fight night.

As the boxing world eagerly anticipates this heavyweight showdown, one thing is certain: both Chisora and Wilder will leave everything in the ring, aiming to make a lasting statement in their illustrious careers.
