In the electrifying world of heavyweight boxing, Fabio Wardley is making waves with his ambitious plans. The British heavyweight champion has set his sights on a thrilling clash that could potentially pit two of the division’s most formidable punchers against each other. Wardley’s recent victory over Joseph Parker, which earned him the WBO Interim title, has set the stage for an exciting future in the heavyweight division.

Initially, it seemed that Wardley’s path would lead him to a showdown with the undisputed ruler Oleksandr Usyk. However, with Usyk vacating his belt, Wardley’s trajectory has taken a new turn. The British heavyweight is now gearing up to face Daniel Dubois at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena on May 9th, a bout that promises to be a spectacle of power and precision.

Wardley has expressed his enthusiasm for a potential fight with Tyson Fury later this year, although he remains focused on the possibility of an undisputed heavyweight bout with Usyk in the future. Dubois, who suffered a brutal fifth-round stoppage loss to Usyk in his last fight, is eager to bounce back and secure a victory against his British rival.

Wardley’s win over Franklin has solidified his position as the number one challenger for the WBO title. If his team deems him ready, a fight against the winner of the Wardley vs. Dubois matchup could be on the horizon. This potential bout has sparked considerable interest and speculation within the boxing community.

Meanwhile, Deontay Wilder, fresh off his split-decision victory over Derek Chisora, has hinted at several exciting possibilities for his next fight. Wilder has mentioned a potential bout with British star Moses Itauma and has not ruled out a clash with Usyk, who has previously stated he has three more fights left in his career. Usyk’s potential opponents include Tyson Fury, Moses Itauma, and the winner of the Wardley vs. Dubois fight.

Wilder’s victory over Chisora, his first since late 2023, marks his 35th win in 38 career fights. This triumph opens the door to numerous main-event possibilities, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Fury, known for his charismatic and outspoken nature, has expressed his eagerness to secure a fight with Wardley as soon as possible.

Given Wardley’s relatively short professional career, with just 21 fights and one significant win against Joseph Parker, the boxing world is abuzz with anticipation. Fury’s confidence in securing a victory is palpable, but Wardley’s determination and skill cannot be underestimated. As the heavyweight division continues to evolve, the potential matchups and rivalries promise to deliver unforgettable moments for boxing enthusiasts worldwide.
