In the world of boxing, anticipation is building for a monumental showdown between WBC Super Welterweight World Champion Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora and former unified world champion Keith “One Time” Thurman. The two fighters recently engaged in a virtual press conference, offering a glimpse into their preparations and mindsets as they gear up for their championship bout on Saturday, March 28, at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Fundora, the reigning champion, is poised to defend his title and solidify his position as the premier 154-pounder in the world. His opponent, Thurman, aims to add another accolade to his illustrious career by capturing a championship in a second weight division. The event, promoted by TGB Promotions and Sampson Boxing, will be available on Prime Video Pay-Per-View, as well as through traditional cable and satellite outlets, ensuring fans worldwide can witness this highly anticipated matchup.

During the press conference, Fundora exuded confidence, emphasizing his readiness to defend his title. “I’m just looking at Keith as another fight. I’ve fought reigning champions and former champions. I have to go make the ring mine and make this fight mine as well,” Fundora stated. He acknowledged the advantages of being the younger and reigning champion but stressed the importance of preparation and maturity in his career.

Fundora also addressed Thurman’s comments about his lack of experience against seasoned fighters, retorting, “He says I haven’t fought any OG’s, but that’s because those OG’s aren’t around anymore.” Fundora expressed his respect for Thurman’s skills but remained steadfast in his belief in his own abilities, aiming to successfully defend his title and prove his dominance in the super welterweight division.

Thurman, known for his strategic prowess and powerful punches, hinted at his game plan for the fight. “He needs to be Sebastian…” Thurman began, leaving fans and analysts alike eager to hear more about his approach to the bout. Thurman’s experience and track record make him a formidable opponent, and his potential victory could further cement his legacy in the sport.

The undercard for the event has also seen some changes, adding to the excitement and intrigue surrounding the pay-per-view spectacle. As the date approaches, both fighters are intensifying their training regimens, each aiming to outdo the other in what promises to be a thrilling and unforgettable night of boxing.

Tickets for the live event are currently on sale, and fans are encouraged to secure their spots to witness this clash of titans firsthand. With both fighters bringing their unique strengths and determination to the ring, the stage is set for an epic battle that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the world of boxing.
