    The semi-final rounds of the Junior Boxing Championships have concluded, delivering a series of thrilling matches and outstanding performances. Young pugilists from various weight categories showcased their skills, determination, and heart in the ring.     Semi-Final Results

    37kg Category

    In the 37kg category, Madalina Zagorodnii from St Josephs L secured a victory against Caoimhe Smyth of Armagh with a 4-1 decision. Zagorodnii’s precise footwork and strategic punches earned her a well-deserved spot in the finals.

    39kg Category

    The 39kg category witnessed two compelling matches. Hailey Hawe from Marble City triumphed over Emile Valungeviciute of St Brigids E with a 4-1 decision. Meanwhile, Rosetta Conroy from Ballybrack advanced to the finals via a walkover.

    41kg Category

    Rachel O’Sullivan from Rylane dominated the 41kg category, defeating Kyra Chauremootoo of Charlestown with a unanimous 5-0 decision. O’Sullivan’s relentless pressure and accurate combinations impressed the judges.

    Notable Performances

    Several boxers delivered exceptional performances, securing their places in the finals. Emma Crowley (St Marthas) and Aoife Gillespie (Twintowns) both won their 43kg category matches with 5-0 and 3-2 decisions, respectively. Jayden Colfar (All Stars) and Jack Maughan (Olympic L) also advanced in the 43kg category with impressive victories.

    In the 49kg category, Mia Ball from Broadstone secured a victory via RSC2 against Michaela Donoghue of Trojan. Ball’s powerful punches and aggressive style made her a standout performer of the semi-finals.

    Heavyweight Categories

    The heavier weight categories saw intense battles as well. In the 70kg category, Sophie Potter from Gateway and Hannah O’Shea from Tolerton both advanced to the finals with RSC2 victories. Their dominant performances showcased their strength and technical prowess.

    Quarter-Final Highlights

    The quarter-final rounds also provided exciting matchups. In the 50kg category, MJ McDonagh from Titans secured a unanimous 5-0 decision against Isaac Freeman of Coleraine. Pa Casey from Sliabh Luachra advanced via a walkover, setting the stage for the semi-finals.

    Other notable quarter-final victories included Barney Hutton from Cookstown in the 44.5kg category and Mona Mitchell from Ballina in the 45kg category. Both boxers demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, earning their spots in the semi-finals.
