Kabayel Defends WBC Interim Heavyweight Title Against Knyba: Fight Night Preview

In a highly anticipated heavyweight showdown, Agit Kabayel is set to defend his WBC interim heavyweight title against the undefeated Damian Knyba. The bout will headline a Queensberry Promotions card on Saturday, January 10, at the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany. Boxing enthusiasts worldwide can catch the action live on DAZN.

    Fighter Backgrounds

Agit Kabayel, boasting an impressive record of 26-0 with 18 knockouts, is no stranger to the limelight. His last outing saw him triumph over Zhilei Zhang with a sixth-round stoppage, a fight that showcased Kabayel’s resilience and power. Despite a knockdown in the fifth round, Kabayel rallied back to deliver a devastating body shot in the following round, securing his victory. This homecoming fight is crucial for Kabayel as he eyes a world title shot in 2026.

Damian Knyba, with a record of 17-0 and 11 knockouts, enters the ring as the underdog. While Knyba has not faced opponents of Kabayel’s caliber, his victories against Andrzej Wawrzyk and Richard Lartey demonstrate his potential. The Polish fighter’s effective jab will be a key weapon in keeping Kabayel at bay.

    Fight Details

The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds, with Kabayel’s WBC interim heavyweight title on the line. The event will begin at 2:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM GMT, with the main event ring walk expected later in the evening. The Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen will host this thrilling encounter.

    Betting Odds

According to DraftKings, Kabayel is the overwhelming favorite with odds of -2000, while Knyba is the +900 underdog. Kabayel’s experience and recent performances make him the clear favorite, but Knyba’s undefeated record and reach advantage could pose challenges.
