In the high-stakes world of welterweight boxing, Keyshawn Davis finds himself in a peculiar predicament. The talented pugilist has recently revealed that three prominent fighters, including the renowned Devin Haney, seem to be avoiding a showdown with him. This revelation has sent ripples through the boxing community, raising questions about the dynamics at play in the welterweight division.

Davis, known as ‘The Businessman,’ last graced the ring in January on the undercard of the much-anticipated Shakur Stevenson vs Teofimo Lopez bout. His performance was nothing short of impressive, as he dispatched former world-level contender Jamaine Ortiz in the final round. This victory has seemingly solidified Davis’s reputation as a formidable opponent, yet it appears that his peers are hesitant to face him.

During a recent appearance on the Mill City Boxing show, Davis expressed his frustration, stating, ‘Damn. Don’t nobody wanna fight me! Deebo [Devin Haney], Lewis Crocker, Lamont Roach. Damn!’ This bold declaration has sparked conversations about the current state of the welterweight division and the challenges faced by fighters seeking to secure high-profile matches.

Devin Haney, a name that has been on the lips of many in the welterweight category, recently claimed the WBO welterweight world championship title. Haney’s victory over Brian Norman Jr. was a testament to his skill and determination, as he dominated the fight from the outset. Despite his success, Haney has yet to respond to Davis’s calls for a match, leaving fans and analysts alike speculating about the reasons behind this avoidance.

Haney did address the potential fight with Davis on social media, stating his interest in facing both ‘The Businessman’ and Shakur Stevenson. However, his words have yet to translate into concrete actions, leaving Davis in a state of limbo as he seeks to secure his next bout.

Lewis Crocker, another name on Davis’s list, is the current IBF welterweight champion hailing from Northern Ireland. Crocker’s impressive victory over Paddy Donovan in their dramatic rematch has solidified his position as a formidable force in the division. Despite Davis’s willingness to travel to the UK for a fight, Crocker has remained silent on the prospect of facing ‘The Businessman.’

Lamont Roach, the final name mentioned by Davis, is a seasoned fighter who has shared the ring with some of the biggest names in the sport. Roach’s recent draws with Gervonta Davis and Isaac Cruz have been the subject of much debate, with many believing that he deserved better outcomes in those matches. Despite his controversial history, Roach has yet to respond to Davis’s calls for a fight.

As the welterweight division continues to evolve, the situation surrounding Keyshawn Davis serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by fighters seeking to secure high-profile matches. With his impressive track record and unwavering determination, Davis remains a formidable force in the division, and it is only a matter of time before his calls for a fight are answered.
