In a thrilling light heavyweight showdown at UFC 324, Nikita Krylov delivered a stunning third-round knockout to Modestas Bukauskas, leaving the crowd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on their feet. The event, held on January 24th, 2026, showcased a night of intense battles, but the Krylov vs. Bukauskas bout stood out with its dramatic conclusion.

The fight, scheduled for three rounds in the light heavyweight division (205 lbs, 93 kg), was a strategic battle from the start. Bukauskas, entering the octagon with a professional record of 19-6-0 and a 74% finishing rate, was ranked as the No.20 light heavyweight in the world. Despite a setback in 2023 against Vitor Petrino, Bukauskas had bounced back with four consecutive wins, including victories over Ion Cutelaba and Paul Craig.

On the other side of the octagon, Nikita Krylov, a black belt in karate and former Fight Nights Global champion, brought a record of 30-11-0 with an impressive 93% finishing rate. Ranked No.35 in the light heavyweight division, Krylov had a mixed bag of results in his recent fights, with a win against Ryan Spann but losses to Dominick Reyes and Bogdan Guskov.

The fight card for UFC 324 was packed with exciting matchups. The main card featured Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett, Sean O’Malley vs. Yadong Song, and Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Derrick Lewis, among others. The preliminary card included bouts such as Umar Nurmagomedov vs. Deiveson Figueiredo and Ateba Abega Gautier vs. Andrey Pulyaev, with Bukauskas vs. Krylov being one of the highlights.

From the opening bell, both fighters displayed their skills and determination. Bukauskas and Krylov exchanged powerful strikes, each looking for an opportunity to gain the upper hand. The first two rounds were closely contested, with both fighters landing significant blows and showcasing their defensive prowess.

However, the tide turned dramatically in the third round. Krylov, known for his finishing ability, seized a momentary lapse in Bukauskas’ defense to deliver a devastating knockout blow at 4:57 of the round. The arena erupted as Krylov’s hand was raised, marking a memorable victory in his career.

In the post-fight interview, Krylov expressed his gratitude to his team and fans, acknowledging the tough challenge posed by Bukauskas. He also shared his aspirations for future bouts and his determination to climb the ranks in the light heavyweight division.

The victory not only solidified Krylov’s reputation as a formidable finisher but also set the stage for potential high-profile matchups in the future. For Bukauskas, the loss serves as a learning experience, and fans eagerly await his return to the octagon.

UFC 324 delivered a night of unforgettable action, with Krylov’s knockout of Bukauskas being a standout moment. As the dust settles, the light heavyweight division continues to heat up, promising more thrilling encounters in the months to come.
