In a recent interview, former boxing prodigy Floyd Schofield Jr. shared his insights on the upcoming clash between rising stars Keyshawn Davis and Jamaine Ortiz, set to take place later this year. Schofield Jr., known for his keen eye for talent, described the bout as a “50-50 fight,” highlighting the immense potential and skill both fighters bring to the ring.

“Both Davis and Ortiz have shown incredible promise in their respective careers,” Schofield Jr. remarked. “They’re both hungry, talented, and ready to prove themselves on the big stage. It’s going to be an exciting matchup for the fans.”

Keyshawn Davis, a 2020 Olympian, has quickly made a name for himself in the lightweight division with his explosive power and relentless work rate. Jamaine Ortiz, on the other hand, is known for his technical prowess and tactical acumen, making him a formidable opponent for any fighter in the featherweight division.

In other boxing news, British contender Conor Benn has set his sights on a potential showdown with WBA welterweight champion Rolando Romero. Benn, who recently secured a unanimous decision victory over Chris Eubank Jr. in November 2025, is eager to challenge for a world title. “Let’s make it happen this year,” Benn stated, expressing his desire to face Romero in 2026.

Meanwhile, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury weighed in on the future plans of undisputed heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk. Fury believes that Usyk may vacate his WBC title to pursue a lucrative rematch with Deontay Wilder. “I don’t think Usyk’s gonna fight anybody in those WBC rankings,” Fury commented. “He’s looking to fight a Wilder, or somebody with a popular name with a following.”

As the boxing world continues to buzz with anticipation, fans can look forward to a thrilling year of action-packed matchups and high-stakes showdowns.
