Las Vegas, NV (February 8th, 2026) — The Meta Apex in Las Vegas played host to an electrifying evening of mixed martial arts as UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira unfolded on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The event was a rollercoaster of emotions, showcasing both dominant performances and gritty battles that left fans on the edge of their seats.

In the main event, Mario Bautista, ranked #9 in the bantamweight division, delivered a masterclass in wrestling and submission grappling. The 32-year-old Bautista, with a record of 17-3, faced off against the 30-year-old Vinicius Oliveira, who boasts a 23-4 record. Bautista’s strategic prowess was on full display as he controlled the wrestling exchanges, eventually securing Oliveira’s back and executing a flawless rear-naked choke at 4:46 of the second round. This victory not only solidified Bautista’s position in the division but also set the stage for a potential rematch with Cory Sandhagen, whom Bautista called out in his post-fight interview.

The co-main event featured a flyweight bout between Kyoji Horiguchi and Amir Albazi. Horiguchi, a former champion, reasserted his dominance in the division with a commanding performance. Over three rounds, Horiguchi’s striking and grappling prowess were evident as he maulled Albazi’s face, earning a unanimous decision victory with scores of 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28. This win re-established Horiguchi as a formidable title contender.

In the heavyweight division, Rizvan Kuniev faced off against Jailton Almeida in a bout that drew criticism for its lack of action. Despite the fans’ discontent, Kuniev managed to secure a unanimous decision victory, adding another win to his record. The middleweight bout between Michal Oleksiejczuk and Marc-André Barriault was a stark contrast, delivering a gritty back-and-forth battle that earned them the Fight of the Night honors. Oleksiejczuk ultimately took home the unanimous decision win, much to the delight of the crowd.

The preliminary card also featured several notable performances. Daniil Donchenko defeated Alex Morono via unanimous decision in the welterweight division, while Nikolay Veretennikov secured a first-round knockout victory over Niko Price. Ketlen Souza and Javid Basharat both emerged victorious in their respective bouts, adding to the night’s impressive lineup of wins.

As the dust settles on UFC Vegas 113, the event will be remembered for its thrilling main event, dominant performances, and the return of a former champion to title contention. The night’s action has set the stage for future matchups and rematches, promising even more excitement in the world of mixed martial arts.
