In a highly anticipated debut under the Zuffa banner, the undefeated IBF cruiserweight champion, Jai Opetaia, is set to face off against the formidable Brandon Glanton. This epic showdown is scheduled to take place at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on March 8, 2026, marking a significant moment in boxing history as the two warriors vie for the inaugural Zuffa Boxing World Cruiserweight Championship.

However, the path to this bout has not been without its controversies. The IBF has made it clear that Opetaia risks being stripped of his title if he proceeds with the fight, leaving the Zuffa cruiserweight belt as the sole prize unless the IBF reverses its stance. This added layer of drama only serves to heighten the stakes for both fighters.

Jai Opetaia, hailing from Australia, boasts an impressive record of 29-0 with 23 knockouts. The 30-year-old southpaw stands at 6’2″ with a 76-inch reach, bringing a wealth of experience and an unbeaten streak into the ring. His opponent, Brandon Glanton, a 34-year-old American, presents a formidable challenge with a record of 21-3 and 18 knockouts. Glanton, standing at 6’0″ with a longer 79-inch reach, is known for his knockout power, having stopped 18 of his 24 opponents.

The event promises to be a thrilling night of boxing, with the main card kicking off at 9pm ET / 6pm PT, following preliminary bouts starting at 6pm ET / 3pm PT. Viewers in the United States can catch the action on Paramount+, while those in the United Kingdom can watch the fight card for free on Zuffa Boxing’s YouTube channel.

The undercard is equally stacked with exciting matchups. In the featherweight division, Emiliano Alvarado will take on Erick Rosado in a six-round bout. The lightweight category will see Brady Ochoa facing Adrian Serrano, also over six rounds. Jaycob Ramos and Ethan Perez will clash in a featherweight contest, while Joshua Juarez and Jardae Anderson will battle it out in the heavyweight division over eight rounds.

Other notable fights include Vlad Panin vs. Shinard Bunch in a ten-round welterweight bout, Adan Palma vs. Pablo Rubio in an eight-round featherweight match, and Ricardo Salas vs. Jesus Saracho in a ten-round welterweight showdown.

The official weigh-in results have been announced, with both main event fighters making weight. Jai Opetaia tipped the scales at 199.5 lbs, while Brandon Glanton came in at 200 lbs. The stage is set for a night of high-stakes boxing, with the inaugural Zuffa cruiserweight title hanging in the balance.

As the fighters prepare to step into the ring, the boxing world eagerly awaits what promises to be a memorable night of action and drama. Stay tuned for live updates, official results, scorecards, highlights, and interviews with the winners.
