Amanda Serrano has once again proven why she is a force to be reckoned with in the world of women’s boxing. The multi-weight world champion successfully defended her WBA and WBO featherweight titles against a formidable opponent, Reina Tellez, in a thrilling 10-round bout held in her native Puerto Rico.

The fight was nothing short of spectacular, with Serrano showcasing her exceptional skills and unwavering determination. Despite facing a late replacement in Tellez, who stepped in on just 15 days’ notice, Serrano rose to the challenge, dominating the fight with her signature swarming offense. As the rounds progressed, Serrano’s corner played a crucial role in managing a badly swollen right eye, allowing the champion to resume her high-volume output and secure a unanimous decision victory.

Tellez, who had an impressive record of 13-1-1 prior to the fight, proved to be a game opponent, holding her ground against Serrano’s relentless assault. However, the champion’s experience and skill ultimately paid off, as she worked Tellez’s body in the later rounds and emerged victorious. The crowd in Puerto Rico was electric, cheering on their hometown hero as she retained her unified titles.

This victory marks a triumphant return for Serrano, who had previously lost a trilogy clash to Katie Taylor in July 2025. The win solidifies her position as a dominant force in the featherweight division and demonstrates her ability to perform under pressure. With this victory, Serrano continues to pile up opportunities and remains a top contender in the world of women’s boxing.

The undercard also saw an exciting bout between Stephanie Han and Holly Holm, with Han emerging victorious on points after their fight was stopped in the seventh round due to a clash of heads. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the best of women’s boxing and highlighting the talent and dedication of these incredible athletes.

As Serrano looks to the future, fans and pundits alike are eagerly anticipating her next move. With her titles secure and her confidence soaring, the possibilities are endless for this talented champion. One thing is certain, however: Amanda Serrano is here to stay, and her name will continue to be on the lips of boxing enthusiasts for years to come.
