Amanda Serrano successfully defended her WBA and WBO featherweight titles against Reina Tellez on January 3, 2026, at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The unanimous decision win, with scores of 97-93, 98-92, and 97-93, showcased Serrano’s superior experience and skill in the ring.

Serrano, a seven-division champion, dominated the fight with relentless pressure, landing effective body shots that backed Tellez up throughout the 10 rounds. Her volume and power secured wide margins on all cards, demonstrating her elite status in the featherweight division.

Tellez, the undefeated challenger, showed resilience but couldn’t overcome the gap in output and ring IQ. Despite her impressive record, she was outclassed by Serrano’s experience and physical edges. The loss marked Tellez’s first defeat, moving her record to 13-1-1.

The fight was a testament to Serrano’s skill and dedication to her craft. Her ability to adapt and overcome challenges has made her a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world. As she looks to the future, Serrano will undoubtedly continue to defend her titles and pursue new challenges in the ring.

The event, which took place in Serrano’s hometown of Puerto Rico, was a thrilling display of women’s boxing. The all-female card featured a co-main event between Stephanie Han and Holly Holm, as well as other exciting matchups. The prelims and co-main event streams are available on DAZN Boxing’s YouTube channel, providing context and highlights from the event.

Serrano’s win reinforces her position as the No. 1 featherweight in the world, and her record now stands at 48-4-1. As she continues to defend her titles and pursue new challenges, fans can expect to see more exciting performances from this talented boxer.
