In a highly anticipated boxing event, Anthony Olascuaga successfully defended his WBO Flyweight title against Jukiya Iimura on March 15, 2026, at the Yokohama Buntai in Yokohama, Japan. The 12-round bout was the main event of the evening and did not disappoint the eager fans.

Anthony Olascuaga, the reigning WBO Flyweight champion, entered the ring with an impressive professional record of 11-1-0, including 8 knockouts. Ranked as the world’s No.4 flyweight, Olascuaga’s only loss came in 2023 against Kenshiro Teraji in a bout that was ranked among the top 10 fights of the year. Since then, Olascuaga has been on a winning streak, securing six consecutive victories, including notable wins against Juan Carlos Camacho-Rivera and Taku Kuwahara.

His opponent, Jukiya Iimura, brought a record of 9-1-0 with 2 knockouts into the ring. Ranked No.12 in the flyweight division, Iimura’s only loss was to Esneth Domingo in 2022. However, he has since bounced back with six consecutive wins, including a revenge victory against Domingo and a win against Lawrence Dumam-ag.

The fight was a testament to both boxers’ skills and determination. Olascuaga and Iimura exchanged powerful blows, showcasing their technical prowess and resilience. The bout kept spectators on the edge of their seats, with both fighters demonstrating why they are among the top contenders in the flyweight division.

In the end, it was Anthony Olascuaga who emerged victorious, defeating Jukiya Iimura via TKO at 1:19 in the ninth round. This victory solidifies Olascuaga’s position as a dominant force in the flyweight category and sets the stage for potential future showdowns against other top-ranked boxers.

The fight was a thrilling display of boxing at its finest, leaving fans eager for more high-stakes matchups in the future. As the boxing world looks ahead, Anthony Olascuaga’s successful title defense will undoubtedly be remembered as a highlight of the 2026 boxing calendar.
