In the wake of his recent defeat, Edgar Berlanga has boldly declared his ambition to face Chris Eubank Jr. in a high-stakes bout set in the heart of London. This announcement comes hot on the heels of Berlanga’s unexpected loss, a setback that has only fueled his determination to prove his mettle against top-tier opponents.

Berlanga, known for his explosive power and relentless fighting style, sees Eubank Jr. as the perfect adversary to reassert his dominance in the middleweight division. The proposed London venue adds an extra layer of intrigue, as Eubank Jr. enjoys a significant home advantage, making the challenge all the more enticing for Berlanga.

The boxing world is abuzz with speculation about this potential clash. Berlanga’s aggressive approach and knockout prowess contrast sharply with Eubank Jr.’s technical skills and ring intelligence. This stylistic contrast promises a thrilling encounter that could captivate fans and pundits alike.

Meanwhile, the middleweight division continues to heat up with other notable matchups on the horizon. Carlos Adames, the WBC middleweight champion, is set to defend his title against Austin Williams on March 21 in Orlando. This bout, originally scheduled for late January, was postponed due to Adames’ health issues. Adames, with a record of 24 wins (18 by knockout), one loss, and one draw, is eager to put on a show against Williams, who boasts 20 wins (13 by knockout) and one loss.

Adding to the excitement, British sensation Conor Benn is slated to face American Regis Prograis on April 11 at Tottenham Stadium in London. This fight will serve as the co-main event of a boxing card headlined by Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov. Benn, with a record of 24 wins (14 by knockout) and one loss, is riding high after his unanimous decision victory over Chris Eubank Jr. in November 2025. Prograis, on the other hand, is coming off a unanimous decision win against Joseph Diaz in August 2025.

As the boxing landscape continues to evolve, the potential Berlanga vs. Eubank Jr. showdown stands out as a bout that could define the careers of both fighters. Berlanga’s call for this fight underscores his confidence and ambition, setting the stage for what could be one of the most electrifying matchups of the year.
