In a swift turnaround that has sent waves through the MMA community, former UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja has resumed full training and returned to sparring just four weeks after sustaining a hand injury in his title fight against Joshua Van. The injury, which occurred during their highly anticipated bout at UFC 323 in Las Vegas last December, initially cast a shadow over Pantoja’s future in the Octagon. However, the Brazilian fighter’s determination and rigorous rehabilitation process have clearly paid off, as he is now back to his fierce sparring sessions, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the sport.

Pantoja, known for his relentless fighting style and impressive record of 30 wins against six defeats, has always been a formidable force in the flyweight division. His recent setback, a technical knockout loss to Joshua Van in the first round of their December 2025 clash, was a rare hiccup in his otherwise stellar career. Yet, Pantoja’s resilience and dedication to his craft have once again been on full display as he makes a swift recovery and prepares for his next challenge.

The UFC community has been abuzz with speculation about Pantoja’s return, and his recent progress update from the gym has only fueled the excitement. Fans and fellow fighters alike are eager to see the Brazilian back in the Octagon, where his skill, tenacity, and heart have made him a fan favorite. As Pantoja continues to make strides in his recovery, all eyes will be on him as he prepares to reclaim his spot at the top of the flyweight division.
