In the heart of Newcastle, UK, a thrilling boxing spectacle is set to unfold on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at the Utilita Arena. The undefeated Russian powerhouse, Bakhram Murtazaliev, aged 33, with an impressive record of 23-0 and 17 knockouts, will step into the ring against the technically gifted Josh Kelly, aged 31, who boasts a record of 17-1-1 with 9 knockouts. This highly anticipated bout promises to be a clash of styles and a test of skill, endurance, and strategy.

Murtazaliev, known for his relentless pressure fighting style, has built a reputation on his strength, formidable chin, and an unyielding forward movement that has worn down many opponents. However, questions about ring rust have surfaced as he has not fought since his third-round TKO victory over Tim Tszyu in October 2024. On the other hand, Kelly, a former Olympian, is celebrated for his technical prowess, superior speed, and exceptional footwork. Since his only professional defeat in 2021, Kelly has been on a remarkable streak, securing seven consecutive victories.

For Kelly to emerge victorious, he must leverage his jab and maintain his movement to avoid being drawn into a close-range brawl, a scenario that led to his only loss. Boxing analysts widely agree that Kelly’s skills could dominate the early rounds. However, Murtazaliev’s persistence and power might prove overwhelming in the later stages, potentially leading to a stoppage victory for the champion.

The main card is scheduled to commence at 7 pm GMT (11 am PT / 1 pm CT / 4 pm ET), with the main event ring walks expected at 9:30 pm GMT (1:30 pm PT / 3:30 pm CT / 6:30 pm ET). The event will be streamed live exclusively for subscribers, ensuring no additional pay-per-view cost. The full fight card is packed with exciting bouts, including:

    • Bakhram Murtazaliev (23-0) vs. Josh Kelly (17-1-1) – IBF World Super Welterweight Title (Main Event)
    • Josh Padley (17-1) vs. Jaouad Belmehdi (23-2-3) – EBU European Super Featherweight Title
    • Josh Blenkiron (7-0-1) vs. Robbie Colman (7-0)
    • Elif Nur Turhan (12-0) vs. Taylah Gentzen (8-1) – IBF World Female Lightweight Title
    • Leo Atang (3-0) vs. Amine Boucetta (9-17)

As the boxing world eagerly awaits this showdown, all eyes will be on Newcastle to witness what promises to be an unforgettable night of boxing.
