As the anticipation builds for the Magnificent 7 fight card at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester on March 28, all eyes are on the heavyweight showdown between Moses Itauma and Jermaine Franklin. The young Itauma, at just 21 years old, has caught the attention of his promoter, Frank Warren, who has heaped high praise on the budding star.

In a recent interview, Warren didn’t mince words when comparing Itauma to other boxing prodigies he’s promoted in the past. “I’ve had the privilege of working with exceptionally talented young fighters like Ricky Hatton and Naz,” Warren stated. “But as a heavyweight at his age, Itauma stands out. He’s the most talented and the best I’ve seen at this moment in time.”

Warren’s enthusiasm is palpable as he continues, “At 21, Itauma is unbelievable. Most heavyweights don’t turn pro in their teens. Mike Tyson and Daniel Dubois did, but not many others. I see Itauma carving his own path, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s fighting for a world title this year.”

The fight card is stacked with talent, featuring a lineup of compelling matchups. Willy Hutchinson takes on Ezra Taylor in the light heavyweight division, while Zak Miller faces Liam Davies in the featherweight category. The middleweight division sees Shakiel Thompson squaring off against Brad Pauls, and Nathan Heaney versus Gerome Warburton. Additionally, Aqib Fiaz and Jordan Flynn will battle it out in the lightweight division, and Alex Murphy will take on Josh Holmes in another lightweight clash.

Other notable fights include Nelson Birchall vs Ryan Griffiths in the super featherweight division, Aadam Hamed vs Kasey Bradnum in the super lightweight category, and John Joe Carrigan vs Danny Costello in the super welterweight division. The evening will also feature a super middleweight bout between Billy Deniz and Grant Dennis.

As the boxing world eagerly awaits the outcomes of these matches, the spotlight remains firmly on Moses Itauma. With Frank Warren’s glowing endorsement and the young fighter’s impressive track record, the stage is set for an unforgettable night of boxing. Stay tuned for comprehensive coverage, including results, video highlights, and in-depth post-fight analysis.
