In a highly anticipated heavyweight clash, Moses Itauma is set to face Jermaine Franklin on March 28 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester. This bout, rescheduled from its original January 24 date due to Itauma’s torn bicep muscle, headlines the Queensberry Promotions’ Magnificent 7 fight card.

Itauma, boasting an impressive record of 13-0 with 11 KOs, has been a force to reckon with in the ring. His last fight saw him deliver a stunning first-round knockout to Dillian Whyte, further solidifying his reputation as a formidable puncher. On the other hand, Franklin, with a record of 24-2 and 15 KOs, is riding high on a career-best win against the previously unbeaten Ivan Dychko. Franklin’s resume also includes going the distance with boxing heavyweights Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

Renowned boxing analyst Teddy Atlas has weighed in on the upcoming bout. Atlas, known for his insightful breakdowns, shared his thoughts on the matchup. “Punchers are born, not made, and Itauma is a natural puncher,” Atlas stated. He acknowledged the expectations for Itauma to secure a knockout victory but also highlighted Franklin’s solid and experienced fighting style. “Franklin is a guy who, when he steps up to the next level, he does enough to lose well. He’s cautious and doesn’t take too many chances,” Atlas added.

Atlas ultimately predicted that Itauma would emerge victorious, with the fight going the distance. “I’m going to say Itauma wins, and it goes rounds,” he concluded.

The fight card also features several other exciting matchups. Willy Hutchinson will face Ezra Taylor in a 10-round light heavyweight bout, while Zak Miller takes on Liam Davies in a 10-round featherweight contest. Other fights include Shakiel Thompson vs. Brad Pauls, Nathan Heaney vs. Gerome Warburton, and Aqib Fiaz vs. Jordan Flynn, all scheduled for 10 rounds in their respective weight classes.

Additionally, the card includes bouts between Alex Murphy and Josh Holmes, Nelson Birchall and Ryan Griffiths, Aadam Hamed and Kasey Bradnum, John Joe Carrigan and Danny Costello, and Billy Deniz and Grant Dennis, ranging from 4 to 8 rounds.

Boxing enthusiasts can look forward to comprehensive coverage of the Itauma vs. Franklin event, including live results, video highlights, and post-fight analysis.
