In a highly anticipated grappling showdown, top UFC Lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan is set to face off against Middleweight striker Shara Magomedov in a submission-only bout under the Hype FC banner. The unique matchup is scheduled for tomorrow, December 30, 2025, at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, Armenia.

Both fighters, who typically compete in different weight classes in the UFC, have agreed to meet at 185 pounds for this grappling contest. Adding an extra layer of intrigue to the event, the fighters have reportedly agreed to a side bet: if Magomedov emerges victorious, Tsarukyan will gift him an apartment in Armenia.

The build-up to the fight has been largely respectful, with both fighters engaging in intense staredowns during the press conferences. However, tensions briefly boiled over during yesterday’s press conference when Tsarukyan accused Magomedov of avoiding him by delaying his travel plans.

This grappling match marks Tsarukyan’s fifth outing in the grappling ring this year, showcasing his versatility and willingness to test his skills outside the traditional MMA format. For Magomedov, this bout presents an opportunity to prove his grappling prowess against one of the top contenders in the UFC Lightweight division.

Fans can expect a thrilling display of technique, strategy, and determination as these two UFC standouts lock horns in a battle of submission skills. The outcome of this match could have significant implications for their respective careers and future matchups in the UFC.

Stay tuned for live updates and results from this highly anticipated grappling clash.
