In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Caroline Dubois has unified the WBC and WBO lightweight world titles with a unanimous decision victory over Terri Harper at London’s iconic Olympia. The 25-year-old Dubois, who remains undefeated with a record of 13-0-1 (5 KOs), showcased her prowess by dropping Harper in the sixth round with a precise left hand, ultimately securing a comfortable win despite a late rally from her opponent.

The bout began with a cautious and somewhat frosty atmosphere, as both champions struggled to find their rhythm in the opening rounds. Harper, known for her defensive skills, managed to evade Dubois’ attacks and even found some success on the back foot. However, Dubois’ persistence paid off as she began to find her range by the midpoint of the fight.

The pivotal moment came in the sixth round when Dubois landed a devastating jab followed by a left hand, sending Harper to the canvas. Although Harper bravely beat the count and continued to fight, the momentum had shifted decisively in Dubois’ favor. By the ninth round, blood was streaming down Harper’s face due to a head clash, but she refused to back down, sensing the urgency of her situation.

The final round saw both fighters trading frantically, but the knockout Harper desperately needed never materialized. The judges’ scorecards reflected Dubois’ dominance, with scores of 98-91, 97-92, and 98-91, crowning her the unified WBC and WBO lightweight champion. This victory sets the stage for a potential showdown with American star Alycia Baumgardner, a bout that could further elevate Dubois’ status in the boxing world.

In other exciting news from the event, Ellie Scotney became the undisputed super bantamweight champion with a dominant points win over Mayelli Flores. Scotney, who entered the contest as the WBC, IBF, and WBO champion, added Flores’ WBA belt to her collection, becoming the youngest undisputed champion in the four-belt era. Her superior skillset and counter-punching were on full display, earning her scores of 100-90, 100-90, and 96-94.

Additionally, Chantelle Cameron made a triumphant return to the world champion status by winning the vacant WBO super welterweight title with a comfortable points victory over Michaela Kotaskova. Cameron’s dominance was evident, with scores of 99-91, 99-91, and 100-90 confirming her victory. This sets up a potential undisputed title showdown with unified WBC, IBF, and WBA titlist Mikaela Mayer.

The undercard also featured several notable performances. Shannon Courtenay secured her third successive win by stopping Sasha Booker in the third round of their super flyweight clash. Elizabeth Oshoba from Nigeria remained unbeaten, winning her bout in the third round as well. However, Emma Dolan’s hopes of becoming world champion were dashed in a third-round defeat to IBF super flyweight titlist Irma Garcia, and Chloe Watson suffered a third defeat in four bouts, outpointed by Finland’s Teresa Makinen.
