Brad Tavares, a seasoned middleweight competitor in the UFC, has found an unexpected source of inspiration in his training journey. The Hawaiian fighter has been training at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, where he crosses paths with legendary kickboxer Ray Sefo, who continues to coach and train in his fifties.

In a candid discussion, Tavares opened up about the profound impact Sefo has had on his career. The respect Tavares has for Sefo is deeply rooted in the New Zealand kickboxing icon’s impressive career and his influence on Tavares’ own upbringing.

“Growing up, I was fascinated by the K-1 video game, and my best friend Russell and I would always choose Ray Sefo as our fighter. To now train under him is a dream come true,” Tavares shared.
